Title:  Credit Manager

Desired Qualifications:

Position summary:

• Manage exclusively the trade receivable portfolio of Harmon (domestic and export), which is currently averaging $70 million and expected to grow to $100 million

• Establish credit limits for all new customers in a timely manner; close interaction with sales and customer service to ensure effective customer focus

• Perform credit reviews on existing customers, including financial statement analysis, financial forecasting, and risk/reward analysis

• Develop and articulate a clear credit point of view to business unit management in keeping with GP's risk management vision and drives consensus

• Drive creative solutions with new or existing customers that maximize profitable sales for the business unit

• Negotiate with external customers to mitigate risk and/or solve problems

• Job location will be Atlanta, GA or Long Island, NY

• Travel required and is dependent up job location

Work experience required:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in credit management with a moderately high risk portfolio

Work experience preferred:

• High customer volume environment

• An environment of aggressive domestic and export sales growth with strong business unit and sales leadership

• A large corporate environment operating in diverse markets

Knowledge & Skills:

• Working knowledge of export credit management

• Excellent interpersonal skills; excellent relationship-building with internal and external customers

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills

• Highly adaptable and self-motivated

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Education required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

Designation preferred:

• NACM CCE certification
